Tournament Structure for the Genesis Scottish Open
The Genesis Scottish Open takes place over the course of four days with 156 players teeing off on the 11th to the 14th of July.
Players will play one round on each for the first two days in this 72-hole event. At this point, the leading 65 players♌ (including any tied at 65th place) will go forward to the fourth and fifth rounds. In the event of a tie, we’ll be treated to a nail-biting hole-by-hole playoff.

With the back tees stretching out at over 7,300 yards, and with a variety of tees measuring from 7,300 to 5500 yards, it allows all types of players a chance to experience the teeing grounds.
You’ll find a number of spectacular long par 4s with a good mix of varied par 3s and 5s. Being situated so close to the North Sea, there is often considerable wind to take into account.
🦂 In 2019, the Renaissance attracted over 66,000 spectators, which represented the highest gate figures since the tour started moving to different venues in 2011.
